Upon arrival at Lombok International Airport, we will be transferred by car to Sembalun village
via the stunning Senggigi Beach Resort. We have dinner and spend the night at a homestay.
The next day we will start our 8 hour hike to Plawangan Sembalun campsite. We will pass three
shelters on paths through savannahs and tropical rainforst.
The following day will start very early with a climb to Rinjani’s highest peak, a 3-hour climb along
the crater rim. After viewing the sunrise, we will return to the campsite for breakfast and
continue the trek down to Segara Anakan Lake to have lunch. We will also have dinner there and
stay overnight in tents.
After breakfast at the campsite on the fourth day, we climb up to the Plawangan Senaru campsite
where we will have lunch, dinner and stay overnight in tents.
The fifth day we descent to Senaru village, a 6 hours hike through tropical rainforest. Lunch will
be served at Shelter 2. We will report our safe return at Rinjani Trek Centre and will be
transferred to Gili Trawangan, the largest of Lombok's Gili Islands. It's only three kilometre long
and two kilometre wide. The population is less than one thousand souls. Transport on the island is
not motorised. Horsedrawn carriages, the cidomo, and bicycles are the main means of
transportation. Looking over the ocean, Rinjani can be admired at the horizon.
The last day after breakfast at the homestay, we will be free at leisure until crossing back to
Bangsal and transfer to Lombok International Airport for our flight back home.
In fact almost all you need is included in this package: transportation from and to Lombok
International Airport, boat transfer to and from Gili Trawangan, accommodation in guest house,

Mount Rinjani on Lombok Island
is said to be one of the most
beautiful mountains in Southeast
Asia.
It stands 3,726 m above sea level and can be
viewed from throughout Lombok. A huge
ancient crater that became Segara Anakan
Lake is known for its blue and green-coloured
water with a new volcano, Gunung Baru,
emerging from the centre of the lake, which
often erupts lava and volcanic ash.
