1 Day
Special Request:
A group of about 20 Singaporeans has
asked us to bring them to Gunung
Nuang via Janda Baik.
I'm looking for maximum 4 hikers who are willing
to join me to be sure that our Singaporean
fellow-hikers will have a nice and safe hike. If
you have aspirations of co-organising and taking
responsibilities during hikes in the near future,
this will be an ideal training ground.

Hikes on request
If you have a certain destination
or target in mind, do contact us
and we will work out the perfect
hike for you or your group.
If you confirm your participation, you will commit yourself to be there for the group, as part of a leading
team. You don't have to be an experienced hiker, but physical fitness is a prerequisite.
If you cannot make it for this hike, but you are interested in being part of a dynamic "leadership" team,
please send me an e-mail...
For this hike, I have decided to approach Gunung Nuang from the Northwest. Our trail starts in Janda Baik,
which is located 280m/918ft higher than Hulu Langat/Kg Kuala Pansoon (where the trail from the South
starts).
Besides the classical hiking tips, please note the following:
·
wear shoes with profile (a pattern on the soles to prevent slipping and gliding)
·
rain gear is recommended
·
we have to cross 2 streams (one way) of max one foot deep
·
a pair of gloves doesn't weigh that much (thorns, roots, trees, mud)
·
bring enough drinks and snacks (carbohydrates). For this trip isotonic drinks are not a luxury. Dried
fruits are preferred over chocolate... Proper nutrition will be a key to your success!
·
leech protection will be necessary
·
a refreshing waterfall shower might be on the programme...
·
please be responsible and don't litter – be sure not to leave any rubbish along the track and on the
top
Closing date: If you confirm your participation before Thursday 16/02/12 - 12:00pm we will try to
accommodate carpooling if you are in need of transport.
