Indonesian Hikes
5 Days / 4 Nights
This will be a trip to Indonesia’s first
National Park and a Unesco World
Heritage Site, located in the extreme
south-western tip of Java.
This event is filled with amazing experiences, from
boat rides while island hopping and canoeing,
snorkeling and swimming to trekking through this
wonderful National Park while watching the
wildlife.
Ujung Kulon is home to the Java one-horned
rhinoceros, the rarest large animal on Earth!
Ujung Kulon National Park was formerly farmland until it was devastated and depopulated by the
1883 eruption of Krakatoa after which it returned to its original forested state. Indeed the natural
reserve of Krakatoa and several offshore islands are all part of this National Park. Now it is a
Unesco World Heritage Site, containing the largest remaining lowland rain forest in Java.
In fact almost all you need is included in this package: transportation from and to Jakarta Airport ,
transportation and parking fees for days 1 and 5, boat transfers to the various islands,
accommodation in tent, homestay and hotel (some not air-conditioned), meals (from dinner on day
1 till lunch on day 5), ranger/guide, entry permit, rental of canoe, use of safety equipment for
canoeing, tips for guide, driver and boatsman, certificate of participation.
What's not included? Air ticket, airport tax, insurance, snorkeling equipment (can be rented in
Sumur), personal expenses such as extra meals and drinks, telephone call, laundry, etc.

Boat ride to Handeuleum Island via Badul Island

Swimming and snorkeling around Badul Island (weather permitting)

Canoeing on Cigenter River
•
Light trekking to bathing place of the rhinos

Dinner and overnight stay in guesthouse
Day 3: 03rd November 2013

Breakfast at homestay
•
Boat ride to Peucang Island
•
Boat ride to Cidaon
•
Lunch and wildlife watching
•
Boat ride to Cibom
•
Trekking to Ciramea
•
Dinner and overnight stay ay campsite
Day 4: 04th November 2013

Breakfast at campsite

Trekking along the coast to Tanjung Layar

Visit lighthouse (view Krakatoa?)
•
Trekking to Cibom
•
Boat ride to Peucang Island

Trekking to Karang Copong for swimming or snorkeling
