7 Days / 6 Nights Our first Indonesian hikathon! For this encounter we head for the amazing Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East-Java. This will be our first Indonesian hikathon with five amazing hiking days in a row. Be prepared to hike about 80km in those five days, so being physically fit is a prerequisite for this hikathon.

Important Please note that the Indonesian airport authorities levy an airport tax for every departing flight of IDR150,000.00 per person. Hikes on request If you have a certain destination or target in mind, do contact us and we will work out the perfect hike for you or your group.
Pick-up at Surabaya airport will be arranged before noon and we will be transferred to Tumpang which is close to the National Park. We have lunch along the way and dinner at the homestay. You will receive a briefing for the upcoming hikes. The next morning we'll step into our hiking boots for the first hike which will lead us from Tampung to Bromo. Those who still have some juice in the legs at the end of the day can climb Gunung Batok. The third day starts with a recreational hike to the crater of Bromo. After that we will spend the day hiking the Tengger Caldera before reaching the homestay again. The next day we will be tranfered to Ranu Pane to start our 2 day trip to Semeru. We will pass the beautiful lake Ranu Kumbolo and proceed until we reach the Kalimati campsite at the foot of the majestic Semeru. Camping overnight. The fifth day will start shortly after midnight so we can succeed in our attempt to summit Semeru latest by 6:00am. Before 9:00am we have to descend back to the Kalimati campsite where we can relax and have breakfast. Later that day we're heading back the same way, but we camp overnight at Ranu Kumbolo. The next day we will return to our starting point in Ranu Pane where transport will be waiting for us. We will be transfered to Tumpang where we spend the night in homestay. The last day we visit a few wonderful waterfalls in the National Park before our transfer back to Surabaya airport. In fact almost all you need is included in this package: transportation from and to Surabaya Airport, accommodation in guest house, camping equipment (tent, mats, sleeping bag, lighting), cooking and dining equipment, meals (from lunch on day 1 till breakfast on day 7), mountain guide, porter fees, climbing permit and entrance fees, certificate of participation (signed by the Chief Ranger and Alex) and photo CD. What's not included? Air ticket, airport tax, insurance, personal expenses such as extra meals and drinks, telephone call, laundry, etc. Itinerary Day 1 Arrival at Surabaya airport Transfer to Tumpang Stay at homestay   Day 2 Hike from Tumpang to Bromo Packed lunch Climb of Gunung Batok for those who are still fit enough Dinner and overnight at homestay   Day 3 Visit Bromo Hike along the Tengger Caldera Packed lunch Dinner and overnight at homestay.
